Product FAQs

Common questions about GeoWeights, answered.

What material are GeoWeights made from?

Every unit is precision-engineered from steel, chosen for its durability, consistent density and resistance to the demands of borehole installation. Domed and coned ends reduce snagging as the loop is inserted.

What's the difference between the 20kg, 40kg and 56kg sizes?

All three share the same 80mm diameter, so they behave the same way going down the borehole — they differ only in length and weight (648mm/20kg, 1148mm/40kg, 1558mm/56kg), letting you choose based on the depth and loop weight of your project.

Can I combine multiple weights on one loop?

Yes — units shackle together using standard hardware, so you can build up to the exact weight your installation needs without special tools or fittings.

Are the lifting eyes certified?

Yes, every GeoWeights unit is fitted with certified M10 lifting eyes for secure, easy handling during installation.

Can you make a custom size for our project?

Yes. Alongside our three standard sizes, we offer tailored lengths and weights for projects with specific requirements — get in touch with your specification and we'll quote it for you.

Will GeoWeights work with my loop manufacturer?

Almost certainly — GeoWeights are designed for universal compatibility with geothermal loops from all major manufacturers. If you're unsure, send us your loop spec and we'll confirm before you order.
